Governor O'Malley announced last week his appointments of Ann Brobst and John Nagle to the Baltimore County Circuit Court bench.

Months ago, I asked Governor O’Malley not to appoint anyone to a judgeship who refuses to take a no-gifts pledge. This request to the governor produced no response whatsoever. It is as if I had skimmed a stone into the Chesapeake Bay, expecting a crab to skim one back to me.
